Why AL wore a beard ?!?!

Hi. . . . It's me. . .
Now I want to tell a story to all of you. . .
Maybe some of you ever heard about it before. . .

Long time ago,there was a girl named Grace Bedel. She admired a man who was much older than she and she was obsessed by a photograph of that man.That's why she kept looking at it before she went to sleep.One night,as always,she looked at the photograph again.She held it at every angle in order to catch the flickering light from the oil lamp on the dresser.She noticed a shadow across the man's thin face.She moved the photograph so that the shadow lay perfectly around his hollow cheeks.How different he looked !!

On the next day,she wrote a letter to that man.She told him that she was eleven years old and she also told the real purpose of her letter. She would told him how wonderful he looked with the shadow that she had seen across the photograph, and she would most carefully suggest that he grew whiskers.

Four months later,she met him at the staton near her home in Westfield, New York. He was wearing a full beard.

The man in the photograph wasn't an actor....
He wasn't a nobleman.....
He also wasn't a king....
But. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .He was The President of USA, ABRAHAM LINCOLN. . . .


NB : Although Grace Bedel was eleven years old, she had the courage to write to a famous president.Surprisingly, the president followed her advice.Can you imagine it? A president followed an eleven years old girl's advice..It's realy unusual.Because from that moment on, president Abraham Lincoln always wore a beard. . .
